Carl Commenator brought over two decades of congressional staff experience to The Livingston Group when he joined the firm in the summer of 2003.

Serving as the Deputy Staff Director of the House Armed Services Committee, as well as, Chief Counsel and Staff Director of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Mr. Commenator’s responsibilities spanned a broad spectrum of legislative, policy development and management duties on Capitol Hill.

Mr. Commenator served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972, including one tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam in 1971, and is a member of The American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.

Mr. Commenator graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of arts in 1976 and the University of San Diego School of Law with a juris doctorate in 1980.
