David Lonie brings over two decades worth of foreign policy experience to The Livingston Group. Working with Congress on Capitol Hill, Mr. Lonie served for three years as a foreign policy analyst for the House Republican Study Committee and for twelve years as a senior committee aide for Congressman Gerald Solomon, first on the Foreign Affairs Committee and then on the Rules Committee. In these positions, Lonie was responsible for advising Members of Congress on all aspects of U.S. foreign policy. He acquired a particular expertise in the politics of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, as well as matters pertaining to U.S. trade policy and participation in international organizations.

Apart from his service on Capitol Hill, Mr. Lonie has served on the staff of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, studied at St. George's College in Jerusalem, assisted in the launching of a privately-funded rural development project in Ethiopia, and participated in a USAID-funded democracy-building project in Romania.
